We broke ground on the Home For Doc.
Connie, her daughter, and my bosses.
The rather short lady standing in the front is Connie, a real ‘Rosie The Riveter’. She riveted the 2000 rivets in the nose of every single one of the 1600 B-29s built in Wichita during WWII. 62 years later, only 7 of those 2000 rivets she installed in 1945 needed to be replaced.
That’s some damn fine build quality.

They also released an artist’s rendering of the structure.

Seriously, though, that’s awesome. I hope Doc comes to an air show near me soon.

Fantastic. I’m glad we are remembering the Rosies of the nation. They won the war as much as the men that went overseas.

Yeah, I’m sure it will. They’ve gotta fly to pay the bills.

We released plenty of renderings (*cough which I did cough*) none of which are quite so... whimsical ;)

Released may be a strong word... apparently they’re just on the signs and Doc’s Friends Twitter.
